We've been TP'd!

Though, done by amature's they did manage to get it pretty high up in our tree! I was actually quite glad to see it. I did enough TPing in my day and was glad to see it was our turn!

Lena was barking at something around 2am, not serious barking or I'm sure I would have checked it out, just a couple of yips otherwise maybe it would have been worse!

No one has fessed up yet, but I am sure it was some of Morgan's friends.

Note to self: Talk Pat into getting that tree cut down...it looks pathetic!

Graduation!

This week has busy for the boys and not necessarily busy by means of school work. Morgan had finals on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday his school had their 'rewards party' for those kids who didn't have any detentions and Thursday there will be a school dance and BBQ.

Lucas had a field day on Monday. Tuesday was a pool party and BBQ.

Wednesday was 6th grade graduation and a 6th grade party after school.

Thursday will be the school BBQ.

Tell me...Why can't school finish up at the end of May? I can quite honestly say that they really haven't done any true school work for almost 2 weeks.

Morgan wasn't able to go go to his reward party because he got a detention last week. For talking. Which is no surprise, but...he has been talking all year. The teacher even said so, on every one of his progress notes and report cards. So why a detention now?

So instead of sitting at school, watching TV and doing crossword puzzles in class, I made him perform community service and serve punch at Lucas' graduation.

He had a great time, I think he would even say so.

Morgan especially can't turn down a beautiful brunette with big brown eyes!

Cake.....

We have a comedian in our family. A friend gave us a CD of 'Jim Gaffigan' and Lucas just really ate it up. So much so, that back in January he decided that he was going to do a comedy for the school talent show. Here is the video. Let me introduce.....'Cake'. Please forgive the cinematics.....I am a lousy videographer

Playing Around

I found a software program that allows
you to make collages from your photo
files. I want to try it out before I forked
the dough for it. These are just a snippet
of the pictures we took while at WDW.
I am running the trial version of LumaPix
therefore the collage has a watermark
across the pictures. I'll let you know if
I decide to purchase the full version.

Visiting Orphans

China

In February, my sister-in-law Toni asked me if I would be interested in traveling to China with her to do short-term missions work. It took me a good couple of weeks to finally make my decision. I think the reason it took so long for me to decide was that I REALLY didn't want to say no, but was afraid to say yes. You see, I am very much a homebody and love staying home taking care of my boys. We had just returned from our vacation in Florida and the traveling was frustrating as usual.

But after I agreed to go, I felt really good, at peace, it just seemed like what I was supposed to do. However, I do worry about how my boys are going to handle 10 days without me, but I suppose I will be just fine and deal with the chaos when I return. Mike (Toni's husband) and their kids will hook up with Pat and the boys and they can commiserate together.

The agency that we will be traveling with is called Visiting Orphans. The area we will be working is the Liaoning Province in Northeast China in a city called Chaoyang. It is amazing how in a country as big as China, it is difficult to find much information on this area.
